Getting to know Sandra Mayer

Sandra has been a licensed real estate Broker in Oregon since 2001. She joined Harcourts The Garner Group in November 2014. Her prior real estate experience took place in Portland, Bend and Redmond as a builder sales associate, buyer specialist and Broker.

In addition to real estate sales, Sandra’s background includes experience in direct marketing, contract sales, business administration, operations management and the hospitality industry.

Sandra is a native Oregonian who lived and worked in Hawaii following graduation from David Douglas High School in Portland. She graduated with honors from the University of Hawaii, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

Sandra returned to Portland in 2000 and moved to Bend the following year to begin her real estate career. Before leaving Honolulu she served for 15 years as co-owner, vice president and general manager of Apollo Sales Group Inc., a contracting company specializing in solar hot water heating and central vacuum systems. She held a state of Hawaii contractor’s license during that time.

While in Hawaii Sandra competed in competitive equestrian events riding both English and Western styles as a member of the American Quarter Horse Assn. Riding, she says, “was my passion for many years.” Her quarter horse Kolehana, now an impressive 30 years old, accompanied Sandra to Oregon and is in retirement at her Tumalo area home.

Sandra’s recreational and fitness activities include yoga, walking the Shevlin Park Loop, rock landscape gardening, healthy crock pot cooking and occasional trail rides.
